MEPCO is an electricity distribution company supplying electricity to 13 districts of South Punjab, Pakistan. The company generates electricity from hydroelectric power and distributes it to about 34 million people in the area. Multan Electric Power Company was established in 1998. MEPCO is licensed by NEPRA exclusively for the distribution of electricity in the service terraces spread across 13 administrative districts of South Punjab.
On May 14, 1998, the government of Pakistan decided to corporatize the energy sector in Pakistan. MEPCO was established to acquire all the properties, rights, assets, liabilities, and obligations of Multan Area Electricity Board, transmission lines of grid stations, and supply system. After 21 years of service in 2020, MEPCO is providing electricity directly and exclusively to 34 million people in 13 districts of South Punjab.

Multan Electric Supply Company is looking to hire applications for the recruitment of Jr Engineer/SDOs. A total of 52 vacancies are opening. This recruitment will be made on a contract basis for the period of one year (extendable).
Candidates should possess a BS/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics with at least 60% marks from HEC recognized universities may apply for these vacancies. The age of the applicants must be between 21 to 28 years. General age relaxation of 5 years will be granted.
Candidates who don’t have PEC Registration on the closing date are not eligible to apply. This recruitment will be made through the IUB Testing Services.
